Thank you for considering giving a rescued horse a new life.
Peaceful Ridge Rescue will help any type of horse that is in need. Because of our open door policy, we have a wonderful variety of horses: Thoroughbreds of the track, Quarter Horses, Paso Fino etc.
Cabbage Patch better known as Daisy is a 1997 TB that has the heart of a 3 year old. This lady has been through so much, she’s tough as nails. She is sound and ridable but needs an advanced rider.
Out side lookin in also known as Valentino is a 2014 OTTB gelding. He was rescued from the Race Track. He had a crack in his right front sesamoid. He still needs some time off but will be rideable in time. Very nice disposition.
Dominick is a 2013 OTTB gelding who was rescued from the Race Track. He had bow tendons and fractured sesamoid. He won’t be a jumper but will be rideable for trails very soon.
HOW TO ADOPT?
Please understand that Peaceful Ridge Rescue expects that you will be able to care for an adopted equine for the remainder of his/her life. Please make sure you understand the time and cost of owning a horse for possibly the next 30 years before you fill out this application.
We do not adopt to first time horse owners or to children under 18 year of age
We will then contact you to schedule an appointment to meet our horses
If you decide to move forward with the adoption process, our team will schedule a home inspection to ensure that the home is safe and appropriate for the equine you chose.
If approved, we will schedule an appointment so you may picking the horse. We could also deliver the horse to its new home for a small transportation fee.

The United Horse Coalition
The United Horse Coalition is a broad alliance of equine organizations that have joined together under the American Horse Council to educate the horse industry about the problem of the unwanted horse. We seek to provide information for existing and prospective owners, breeders, sellers, and horse organizations regarding the long-term responsibilities of owning and caring for horses, as well as focusing on the opportunities available for these horses.
